My first exposure to the Law of Attraction occurred when I watched “The Secret” featured on the Oprah show. I was hooked right away. I began researching the subject and found other shows where “The Secret” had been showcased. Soon I began to see several Blogs talking about this ancient truth that had been repackaged through “The Secret." I have never been more excited. In fact, right after I received a DVD copy of the movie for myself I started telling everyone that would listen, about this incredible concept.
I shared my enthusiasm with my 26 year old son Josh, and he immediately responded by telling me about his own dreams. As we watched the DVD together I could feel us drawing closer, sharing a common positive bond. It was so heart warming to see him share the same joyful feelings I was experiencing.
That encouraged me to take the next step. I began working on a vision board. Although deeply grateful for this profound new awareness, I knew there must be something I really, really wanted to bring into my life. Something I could be passionate about. Then it dawned on me - writing!
In the last few years I had become very proficient at story telling. Perhaps I could put my stories down on paper. Then it came to me to give The Law of Attraction a real test. I had been fascinated by antique typewriters and, I don’t know, somehow inspired by them. I decided to see if I could create one as a sort of focal point to inspire my new dream.
On a break at work I found the perfect picture on the Internet of the typewriter I wanted to manifest, printed it out and highlighted it in green. Then I placed it in my purse to take home. Just before it was time to leave I took a moment to check out eBay.
I was curious as to how much these typewriters might cost? Typing in “old typewriters” in the search field, I was surprised that there were several pages of results. Clicking the very first one on the list brought up a graphic that took my breath away. There was the exact model of the typewriter I had printed out! What really floored me and brought on that “Twilight-Zone” music in my head, was the green background behind the graphic of the typewriter.
Talk about instant manifestation.
Needless to say the old Hammond is now in my possession. It needs to be restored, but I love it! That too is on my vision board which is propped up where I can’t miss it in my den to show me - this stuff really works!
